Anna Homère – Music Together® Teacher

Anna grew up in Germany where she received early music education (choir, recorder, piano and flute). When she came to Geneva at the age of 16, she completed her classical training as a flutist at the Geneva Conservatory.

Later on, she drifted over to improvisation in several local groups, e.g. at the AMR (Association pour l’encouragement de la Musique ImpRovisée).

Passionate about the power of music, she then studied Music therapy in Geneva, and works in this field as an independant since 2010.

In 2012, she came across the Music Together program, feeling an immediate craze for it. She got trained according to the Music Together method the same year and has taught 3 semesters per year since then. Granted an independent license in 2014, she opened her own Music Together® Center and literally beams with delight each time she teaches!

  • Song that best describes my life: “Coming Home” from Lizz Wright
  • If I was a superhero my name would be: Mary Poppins
  • Favorite dance move: salsa basic step – being blindfolded!
  • Fun fact about me: Aged 4, I attended a concert of a famous flutist (recorder), named Frans Brüggen. During the standing ovation, I ran to the stage, sat on his lap and said: “Me too, I will be a flutist when I grow up!”
